EDIT: Made a noticeable change to the face as well as added shading to the images to add depth.
Alright, so this is basically what I'm trying to accomplish in 3D class right now.
I probably won't have time to finish this for this class, but there may be hope for next semester.
What you are looking at right now is the first layer art ref of the Darkholm low-poly character model that I'm working on.
Like the actual model, I'm building this in layers, but not quite in the same sense. The model won't be nude, but I'm using the anatomy of his body so that I can easily add on clothing and such in additional layers of artwork.
The final model will be him, clothed and textured. Since this is supposed to cartooning rather than illustration, the final product will probably have a cell shaded look unless I can come up with some great realistic textures.
For those of you wondering, Darkholm stands at 8' tall and is 8 heads tall.
I do realize that the feet on the side are not quite the same as the feet for the front, but I'm not really worried about it. I'll either fix or leave it, but you won't be able to tell what I did either way because he'll have boots on.
